ABOUT US

We are a dedicated group of firefighters who proudly serve our community. Our department consists of two hose companies and one hook and ladder company, all working together to keep Massena safe.

Each of our companies is made up of 21 members, bringing our total membership to a maximum of 63. This ensures that we have a strong and united team ready to respond to any emergency. We believe in the power of teamwork and the importance of every member's contribution.

We are here to serve you and provide assistance in times of need. Whether it's a fire, medical emergency, or any other situation requiring our expertise, we are trained and ready to help. Our firefighters undergo rigorous training to ensure we can handle any challenge that comes our way.

OUR MEMBERSHIP

At the Massena Volunteer Fire Department, our volunteer firefighters go above and beyond to ensure they are equipped with the skills needed to protect and serve our community. To be initially qualified, they dedicate themselves to completing nearly 150 hours of outreach training provided by the New York State Office of Fire Prevention and Control.

We believe that a strong partnership with the community is vital, and we are grateful for the support we receive. To foster this bond, we organize and host various events throughout the year that bring us closer together. From our mouthwatering chicken BBQs to the exciting golf tournament, we create opportunities for our community to come together and have a great time while supporting our cause.

These events not only help us raise funds for essential equipment and resources but also provide a chance for us to engage with our community on a personal level. We value these moments of connection and the opportunity to express our gratitude for your ongoing support.
